Secure a confidential document

Before you email or share a sensitive document, lock it with a password so only the intended reader can open it. Encryption runs in your browser with strong AES, and nothing is stored on our servers.

  1. Open the document — Drop your confidential PDF into the workspace; nothing is stored.
  2. Add a password — Encrypt it with AES so only the right person can open it.
  3. Send with confidence — Share the locked file and give out the password separately.

Is this safe for sensitive files?

Yes — encryption happens in your browser with AES, and the file is never uploaded to or kept on our servers.

How should I share the password?

Send the password through a different channel than the file — for example the PDF by email and the password by message.

Can I remove the password later?

Yes. Anyone with the password can open the file and save an unprotected copy.
